Temporary service: Newmilns local council office and library closed for refurbishment

Newmilns local council office closed on Friday the 18th of December for refurbishment. During refurbishment a temporary service will be available in the Morton Hall beginning Tuesday, January 5, 2010 for up to 12 weeks.

Opening times will be:
  • Tuesday: 9.15am - 1pm and 2pm - 4.45pm
  • Friday: 9.15am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.45pm
Newmilns Library also closed for refurbishment on Monday the 21st of December. A temporary library service offering a limited range of books, DVDs and talking books for adults and children will be available in Morton Hall from January 5, 2010. Book requests will be free of charge. Unfortunately there will be no access to library computers.

The temporary library opening hours are:
  • Monday: 2pm - 7pm
  • Tuesday: 9am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm
  • Wednesday: 10am - 1pm
  • Thursday: 2pm - 7pm
  • Friday: 9am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm
It will be closed on Saturdays.

Alternatively, customers can use Galston Library, Darvel Library or the Dick Institute in Kilmarnock. For further information please contact 01563 554300 or e-mail libraries@east-ayrshire.gov.uk.
