s1newmilns gets its very own Community Correspondent

We're very pleased to say that Stephen Drury has agreed to become Community Correspondent for s1newmilns.

Stephen is a retired Electrical Engineer now studying with the Open University, not quite retirement age! He is involved with the Community Council and interested in the history of Newmilns and promoting the various groups within the town.

s1newmilns is still an open forum for anyone who lives in the area to talk about Newmilns life - if you live in Newmilns then this site is yours to post to.

But we're delighted that Stephen has agreed to give Newmilns a hand by collecting and posting snippets of local news. It's a real service that Stephen is doing for Newmilns, and we're extremely grateful. He isn't a professional journalist, just a member of the community doing his bit.

Stephen said: "Newmilns has much to offer and with the help of s1newmilns and your contributions to its input we will learn more about our community. I will rely considerably on the local input, it's our town, let's promote it!"
