Newmilns Snow and Sports Complex gets cash windfall
26 FebruaryThis is part of a £2.2 million package from the government aimed at supporting charities through the recession.
Chairman Bobby Pollock told the Kimarnock Standard the grant will help cover the day to day cost of running the centre. He said visitor numbers are picking up and they are hopeful that the worst effects of the recession are over.
The development plans for the snow complex are progressing and other grant applications have been made to a number of funders to raise the £3m necessary to provide two new ski slopes and a community clubhouse.
