Newmilns Snow and Sports Complex

  • Corinne and Amy on the slope!
Newmilns Snow and Sports Complex Limited is a not for profit community company Limited by guarantee and is a registered charity.

NSASC is well advanced in the process of providing a fantastic new facility for Newmilns and beyond. Proposals have been submitted to East Ayrshire Planning authority to provide a new community clubhouse and new and upgraded ski slope. The proposals which amount to almost £3m are supported by the BIG Lottery buiding community assets programme. The community clubhouse will also include a gym and a cafe. Snowboarding, mountain boarding and mountain biking are already available as well as skiing. The new facility will enable the improvement and extension of these activities.

The Ayrshire Junior Snowsports club with over 70 members and the Extreme Valley Riders mountain bike club with 50 members are based at the slope. The facilities are open to the general public and are well attended by Ayrshire schools and youth organisations.

On the achievement of Planning and Building Permission NSASC will seek further funding from the Big Lottery and other funders to raise the £2.9m required to make our plans a reality.
