EAST AYRSHIRE COMMUNITY COUNCIL SCHEME 1997.
In accordance with the above Scheme Newmilns & Greenholm Community Council will be holding:-
An Election to fill 9 (nine) Vacancies on the Community Council on Wednesday, May, 26, 2010.
Notice is hereby given that the tenth annual meeting of the Community Council will be held in the Morton Hall, Newmilns at 7:00pm on Wednesday, May. 26, 2010. During this meeting Nominations will be received to fill 9 (nine) Vacancies on the Community Council. Should there be more than 9 (nine) Nominations received an Election will be held on the same Evening. At the Annual Meeting of the Community Council they will present their Accounts and Reports - Please come along and support us. So that we may support you.
Nomination Papers are available from Community Councillors or from the East Ayrshire Council's Sub-Office, Craigview Road Newmilns from May 6th to 21st 2010. When completed they should be returned to Mr. Robert Leggate, 5 Borebrae, Newmilns on or before NOON ON FRIDAY MAY 21ST 2010.

All welcomed by the Chairman, Robert Leggate, 8 Community Council members present, Max Flemmich,
Darvel Community Council, 3 members of Campbell Street,Tennants and Residents Association and
Neighbourhood Watch. Minutes read and adopted and all correspondence read.
AOCB; Bus Stop GPS Announcement System ( see S1 News). EAC Road Repair Funding ( see S1 News).
Police Report; 30 Crimes committed, 12 Detections. Crime Action Plan to be implemented.
Windfarm Meeting; Max Flemmich gave a full report of the current situation and his attendance at a
discussion forum held at Kilmarnock on 23March. This debate raised the issues of funding catchment
area and the factors with regard to qualifying for funding. Further debate was inevitable and a committee
meeting of the Valley Community Councils was proposed.This would be a protracted debate that would
not be easily resolved. Max Flemmich was duly thanked for his contribution to the meeting.
The possibility of representation from Campbell Street Tenants and Residents Association and
Neighbourhood Watch was discussed and agreed in principle and no objections were raised.
Kerry Ann Templeton notified the Committee of the Gala Day arrangements,these are notified on
the s1 web-page.
The next meeting would be held on 28th April at 7.00pm. The meeting was closed with thanks to the
Chair.

All were thanked for attending.
The Police Report was given as 34 crimes with 19 detections.
Cllr.A Brown gave his report on ongoing road repairs at Union Street, the A71 The Cut, the completion
of repairs to Mure Place anf Shields Road footbridges. The question was raised with respect to pavement
re-instatement at Clearmount Ave. sewage repair work.This would be monitored.
Secretaries and Treasurers report given.
Correspondence read.
The next meeting would be the AGM on Wed 26th of May, nominations for office must be submitted
by 21st May,the appropriate form must be used, these are avaliable at the Rent Office, Craigview Rd.
